Welcome to our Spring Newsletter! Spring is upon us and there a few darters with a spring in their step at the moment.

Phil Taylor continued his hot streak with victory in both German Players Championship events at the end of February. He didn’t travel to Scotland the following week where Robert Thornton took full advantage to claim back to back home wins, his first since joining the PDC.

In the Whyte & Mackay Premier League, Mervyn King has blazed a trail over the opening few weeks, storming to the top of the league in an unbeaten start. A recent wobble has seen him toppled by James Wade at the head of the table and with several players coming into form it’s hotting up nicely.

And Aussie chucker Simon Whitlock has joined the ever growing ranks of the PDC. Whitlock is a fine player and will hope to emulate King and Thornton but the first battle he will have on his hands may well be over the use of his Wizard nickname! Colin Osborne v Simon Whitlock in a Nickname Playoff Match??

Whitlock has already been added to our Fantasy League player list. Speaking of which…

Our FantasyLeague Darts competition is now in full flow. It’s very early days yet of course and there’s a long way to go. Dave Herd has raced into the lead with several people hot on his trail, amongst them stunning walk-on girl Nicola Moriarty and The Iceman Alan Warriner-Little.

Don’t forget there’s £1000 for the winner! Plus we’ll have a whole host of prizes and cash up for grabs every month and during all the major tournaments!

If you haven’t already picked your team you still have time as we will be leaving registration open until the end of April. This means you will start off a bit behind but you will have the advantage of studying the form. Plus you will still qualify for all the monthly and major tournament side competitions.

Well that’s your lot for March – the clocks go back soon and summer is just around the corner. If it’s anything like last year though, you should just sit in and watch some darts!
