2020 Low6 PDC Home Tour Play-Offs Last 32 Preview

Day One of the 2020 Low6 PDC Home Tour Play-Offs begins tonight, featuring the first group of eight at the last 32 stage.

Tonight’s group features the reigning world champion Peter Wright, Spain’s Cristo Reyes, 2006 BDO World Champion Jelle Klaasen and the lowest ranked player in the draw Ryan Murray.

Peter Wright is the favourite to win this group, but will things go his way? Or will the chasing pack have other plans?

Peter Wright v Ryan Murray

Leg 1

A nervy start from both on the doubles but it’s the reigning world champion Wright who eventually pins double 4 for first blood! Wright 1-0 Murray.

Leg 2

Agonising from Murray as he misses double 9 for a 138 finish and Wright cleans up at 116 on tops to double his advantage! Wright 2-0 Murray.

Leg 3

A comfortable leg on throw for Wright as he pins double 6 for a 15 darter and to take command! Wright 3-0 Murray.

Leg 4

Murray gets a chalk on the board, courtesy of a 68 finish on double 4 for a 14 darter. Wright 3-1 Murray.

Leg 5

Wright intially misses four darts for the leg, however Murray fails to capitalise after missing a dart at tops and a dart at tens for it and Wright sinks double 5 second dart to restore his three leg cushion! Wright 4-1 Murray.

Leg 6

Both players miss a heap of doubles in that one but it’s Ryan Murray who eventually takes it on double 2 to stay in contention! Wright 4-2 Murray.

Leg 7

Wright misses double 16 for a 104 finish but the world champion returns to hit it next visit despite Murray’s 171 pressure! He moves within a leg of victory! Wright 5-2 Murray.

Leg 8

Murray goes six into the nine but is off target with the seventh! He misses the bull for a 82 finish and Wright makes no mistake on the same target for an 87 finish and despite not being at his best he gets the win and the first two points of the night!

Final score: Peter Wright 6-2 Ryan Murray.

Cristo Reyes v Jelle Klaasen

Leg 1

Agony for Reyes as he suffers a bounce out from the bull when taking out 132 and Klaasen puts salt into his wound by taking out 86 on the same bed for the early break. Reyes 0-1 Klaasen.

Leg 2

Klaasen swiftly doubles his lead after taking out tops for a 16 darter! Reyes 0-2 Klaasen.

Leg 3

Reyes eventually gets on the board thanks to an 88 checkout on double 14! Reyes 1-2 Klaasen.

Leg 4

Klaasen buckles on the doubles after the former world champion misses four darts for a 3-1 lead and Reyes sinks double 5 for a level game! Reyes 2-2 Klaasen.

Leg 5

Excellent response from Klaasen as he puts away his second 180 and then takes out 46 on tops for an 11 dart break! Reyes 2-3 Klaasen.

Leg 6

Reyes wires the bull for a 170 finish, but despite taking six darts he eventually picks out double 8 to once again level the match! Reyes 3-3 Klaasen.

Leg 7

Reyes moves ahead for the first time in the match after taking out a 100 checkout on tops for a 15 darter! Reyes 4-3 Klaasen.

Leg 8

Klaasen misses tops and tens for 4-4 and Reyes pounces on double 16 to make it three legs on the spin and move within one of glory! Reyes 5-3 Klaasen.

Leg 9

Reyes squanders three match darts on 18’s and 9’s for a 6-3 win and Klaasen takes out double 10 last dart to stop the rot and stay in the contest! Reyes 5-4 Klaasen.

Leg 10

Klaasen misses two darts to take the match into a decider but the former world champion does make that scenario happened on double 10 after Reyes missed two more match darts! Reyes 5-5 Klaasen!

Leg 11

Reyes leaves 16 after 9 but despite missing three more darts at double 8, he returns to hit it next visit to seal the win after being 2-0 down at one stage! Klaasen is made to play for missed chances!

Final score: Cristo Reyes 6-5 Jelle Klaasen.

Ryan Murray v Jelle Klaasen

Leg 1

Klaasen misses two darts at double for the early break and Murray punishes him by hitting tops second dart. Murray 1-0 Klaasen.

Leg 2

Back comes Klaasen as the former world champion takes out 44 in unorthodox fashion, going 18 double 13 for a 14 darter. Murray 1-1 Klaasen.

Leg 3

Murray misses tops for a 104 finish but the Scot returns to hit double 10 to retake the lead! Murray 2-1 Klaasen.

Leg 4

The first break of throw in the match goes to Ryan Murray after the Scot pinned double 10 last dart. Murray 3-1 Klaasen.

Leg 5

Relief for Klaasen as he pins double 1 for an instant break back. Sloppy leg from Murray! Murray 3-2 Klaasen.

Leg 6

Beautiful leg from Klaasen as he puts in two 180’s to leave 82 after 9 and he takes it out with Bull double 16 for an 11 dart leveller! Murray 3-3 Klaasen.

Leg 7

Wasteful finishing from Murray as he misses four darts at tops to go back infront and Klaasen takes out 31 on double 6 with the last dart to finally get the breakthrough and make it three on the spin. Murray 3-4 Klaasen.

Leg 8

Both players miss chances but Murray eventually gets the break back and levels the match thanks to double 4! Murray 4-4 Klaasen.

Leg 9

More chances for Murray go begging after he misses two at double 19 for a 98 checkout and Klaasen lands double 5 to break and he will throw for the match! Murray 4-5 Klaasen.

Leg 10

KLASSEN WINS! He keeps his hopes alive after taking out double 8 for a 17 darter and end the hopes of Ryan Murray!

Peter Wright v Cristo Reyes

Leg 1

Brilliant start for Cristo Reyes as the Spaniard takes advantage of two misses at double from Peter Wright by taking out 91 on double 16 for an early break! Wright 0-1 Reyes.

Leg 2

Wright hits a 180 to set up 79 and the world champion duly takes it out on tops for an immediate break back! Wright 1-1 Reyes.

Leg 3

Wright moves ahead thanks to a 65 checkout on tops for an 18 dart hold. Wright 2-1 Reyes.

Leg 4

Reyes misses double 16 for a 108 checkout but returns to hit it next visit for a level game. Wright 2-2 Reyes.

Leg 5

The reigning world champion moves his way back in front after picking out double 10. Wright 3-2 Reyes.

Leg 6

More trouble on the doubles from Reyes but he has plenty of time on his side and eventually picks out double 8 on the fifth attempt to level the match one more. Wright 3-3 Reyes.

Leg 7

Wright misses double 12 for a 98 finish but despite pressure from Reyes the current world champion coolly slots in double 6 with the last dart in hand to regain the advantage. Wright 4-3 Reyes.

Leg 8

Exhibition stuff from Reyes as he takes out 80 going two double tops and we are level again folks, best of three! Wright 4-4 Reyes.

Leg 9

What a way to break! Cristo Reyes hits a 13 darter on double 19 to make himself throw for the match and to beat the current world champion! Wright 4-5 Reyes!

Leg 10

Drama for Reyes as he misses SIX darts to clinch the match and Wright steps in to hit tops and take this match into a decider! Wright 5-5 Reyes.

Leg 11

WRIGHT EDGES IT! The reigning world champion sinks 92 on double 16 in the decider to claim his second win in two and becomes the firm favourite to progress! Reyes will ponder on those 6 match darts that he squandered!

Cristo Reyes v Ryan Murray

Leg 1

Brilliant start from Reyes as he hits a maximum and then double 16 for an 11 dart opener. Reyes 1-0 Murray.

Leg 2

An unorthodox 122 finish from Murray as he takes it out going T19,15,BULL to level the contest. Reyes 1-1 Murray.

Leg 3

Both player squander chances to take the lead but it’s Murray who eventually gets it via tops. Reyes 1-2 Murray.

Leg 4

Another poor leg from Murray and Reyes takes full advantage, landing double 16 with the fifth attempt. Reyes 2-2 Murray.

Leg 5

It’s three consecutive breaks of throw after Murray takes out 72 on tops to go straight back ahead. Reyes 2-3 Murray.

Leg 6

Reyes misses tops for a 120 finish but eventually pins double 5 last dart after Murray fails to take out 127! Reyes 3-3 Murray.

Leg 7

Reyes brings to an end of four successive legs that have gone against the throw after taking out 89 on double 16 for a vital hold of throw. Reyes 4-3 Murray.

Leg 8

Reyes misses five darts at double but eventually pins double 2 for a crucial break of throw after Murray missed bull for an 86 finish to level. Reyes will now throw for the match! Reyes 5-3 Murray.

Leg 9

REYES STAYS IN CONTENTION! The Spaniard pins double 8 to keep his hopes in topping the group alive and condemns Murray to the bottom of the pile. Reyes will now have to rely on results going his way.

Jelle Klaasen v Peter Wright

Leg 1

First blood goes to Klaasen after the Dutchman takes out an 80 finish on tops! Klaasen 1-0 Wright.

Leg 2

Double trouble for Wright as he squanders five darts at double to level and Klaasen takes out 44 once again on double 13 for the early break! The reigning world champion is in a spot of bother! Klaasen 2-0 Wright.

Leg 3

Jelle’s fast start continues after taking out tops for a 13 darter and a three leg lead! Klaasen 3-0 Wright.

Leg 4

More double trouble for Wright as he misses four more darts and Klaasen pins tops for a 4-0 lead and this is concerning for Snakebite! Klaasen 4-0 Wright.

Leg 5

Klaasen messes up on a 85 finish but Wright misses double 16 for a 62 finish and Klaasen slots in tops once more to move within one of progression and whitewashing the reigning world champion! Klaasen 5-0 Wright.

Leg 6

Klaasen has a chance to win it 6-0 but squanders a dart at double 12 for a 76 finish and Wright takes out 60 in two to avoid the whitewash! Comeback? Klaasen 5-1 Wright.

Leg 7

KLASSEN WINS GROUP 1 OF THE LAST 32!!! He takes out 66 on tops to seal his spot into the semi finals and send the reigning world champion packing!
