2020 Low6 PDC Home Tour Play-Offs Last 32 Preview

Day Two of the 2020 Low6 PDC Home Tour Play-Offs commences tonight, featuring the second group of eight at the last 32 stage.

Tonight’s group features the 2014 BDO world champion Stephen Bunting, three time BDO world champion Glen Durrant, former UK Open semi finalist Alan Tabern and recent tour card holder Mike De Decker.

Who will be joining Jelle Klaasen in the semi finals?

Bunting begins the leg with five perfect darts but then the 2014 BDO world champion breaks throw for the first time thanks to a 100 checkout on tops for an 11 dart leg. Bunting 4-2 De Decker.

Leg 7

De Decker hits his first maximum of the match but the Belgian misses two darts at double to break straight back and Bunting makes no mistake by hitting tops second dart and move a leg away from victory. Bunting 5-2 De Decker.

Leg 8

Both players trade maximums before De Decker misses double 16 for an 88 finish but returns to hit double 8 to keep himself alive in this match! Bunting 5-3 De Decker.

Glen Durrant v Alan Tabern

Leg 1

Tabern hits the first 180 of the match and The Saint goes on to hit double 10 for an early break against the Durrant throw! Durrant 0-1 Tabern.

Leg 2

Durrant also hits his first 180 of the match and the three time world champion eventually breaks back with a 12 darter and a lovely 83 finish on the bull! Durrant 1-1 Tabern.

Leg 3

Poor counting from Tabern costs him dear and Durrant takes full advantage after picking out tops for a 13 dart leg and to hit the front! Durrant 2-1 Tabern.

Leg 4

Both players trade maximums but Durrant squanders three darts at tops for the break and Tabern punishes with double 5 and gets back level. Durrant 2-2 Tabern.

Leg 5

Tabern bags his third 180 but misses two darts at double to break and Durrant finds tops with his last dart to save his throw! Durrant 3-2 Tabern.

Leg 6

Durrant puts away his third maximum of the game and then gets a vital break thanks to a 68 finish on double 4 after Tabern missed the bull to level on a 86 finish! Durrant 4-2 Tabern.

Leg 7

Durrant moves within a leg of the match after he pins double 8 for a 13 dart kill! Durrant 5-2 Tabern.

Leg 8

Great response from Tabern as he finds a 14 darter and a 62 finish on double 10 to stay in the match. Durrant 5-3 Tabern.

Leg 9

DURRANT WINS!!! He hits a fourth maximum in the match and he seals victory and two points with a 92 checkout on double 16 and a 11 dart closer. Brilliant stuff from Duzza who averaged 104.2 and his finishing was solid with 6 from 12!

Mike De Decker v Alan Tabern

Leg 1

Tabern once again hits a 180 in the very first leg and he seals it perfectly with a 96 checkout on double 8 for a 12 dart break. De Decker 0-1 Tabern.

Leg 2

Tabern hits his second maximum but it’s De Decker who fires in the big guns with a sensational 145 checkout (T19,T16,D20) to break straight back. De Decker 1-1 Tabern.

Leg 3

And De Decker instantly goes ahead thanks to a swift 12 darter and a 84 checkout on double 12. De Decker 2-1 Tabern.

Leg 4

Tabern levels up the contest once more thanks to a 15 darter on double 10. De Decker 2-2 Tabern.

Leg 5

De Decker misses bull for a 128 finish and Tabern pounces on tops to break once again and take the lead once again. De Decker 2-3 Tabern.

Leg 6

Tabern hits back to back maximums to set himself on a potential nine darter. He misses with the seventh though and despite missing five darts at double he eventually lands double 10 for a two leg gap. De Decker 2-4 Tabern.

Leg 7

It’s now four legs in a row for Alan Tabern as he crashes home a 105 finish on tops to move within a leg of keeping his chances alive. De Decker 2-5 Tabern.

Leg 8

De Decker misses double 16 for a 143 finish but the Belgian returns to hit it first dart after Tabern missed three darts to clinch the match. Surely he can’t do it again? De Decker 3-5 Tabern.

Leg 9

A fourth match darts goes begging for Tabern as he misses tops for a 82 finish and De Decker slots double 12 to put the pressure on Tabern! De Decker 4-5 Tabern.

Leg 10

De Decker came from 5-2 down to level against Bunting and now he’s done it again against Tabern thanks to a 14 darter and a 74 checkout. De Decker 5-5 Tabern.

Leg 11 (Final Leg)

DE DECKER PULLS IT OFF! It took a 14 darter to beat him in the last game but the Belgian finds another 14 darter of his own on double 16 to pull off a stunning comeback and keep his chances of topping the group alive. Tabern missed four darts for victory and he’s now out of the competition as a result!

Leg 1

Bunting sets up double 14 on 164 but he can only watch as Durrant piles in a 117 finish on tops for the immediate break! Bunting 0-1 Durrant.

Leg 2

Bunting hits the first 180 of the game but however he misses two at double 16 for a break back and Durrant cleans up 88 on double 14 to double his lead. Bunting 0-2 Durrant.

Leg 3

Durrant hits his first maximum of the match but misses double 16 for a 64 finish to go three ahead and Bunting punishes with a brilliant 66 finish on double 8 to open his account. Bunting 1-2 Durrant.

Leg 4

Both players trade in maximums but once again double 16 proves costly for Durrant as he misses two at it and Bunting takes out 63 on double 12 to level up! Bunting 2-2 Durrant.

Durrant crumbling on the doubles here as misses three more to go 3-2 ahead and Bunting does just that on tops after busting it last visit! Bunting 3-2 Durrant.

Bunting hits his third maximum but Durrant eventually stops the rot thanks to a 76 finish on double 8! Bunting 3-3 Durrant.

Both players begin the leg with maximums but Bunting moves straight back ahead with a 100 checkout on double 10 for a 12 darter. Bunting 4-3 Durrant.

Leg 8

Bunting misses tops for a 125 finish but he returns to hit tops next visit and move a leg from the match after Durrant wired three darts at double 18! Bunting 5-3 Durrant.

Leg 9

BUNTING WINS!!! He misses tops for a 74 finish but Durrant wastes two more darts at sixteens and eights and Bunting nails double 10 put himself in control of this group! From 2-0 down he was the better player but Durrant will rue on his missed chances!

Glen Durrant v Mike De Decker

Leg 1

De Decker opens his account with a 180 but blows many chances to break and Durrant finally lands double 4 to snatch it way from the Belgian! Durrant 1-0 De Decker!

Leg 2

De Decker swiftly levels up with a 15 darter and a 60 checkout on double 10. Durrant 1-1 De Decker.

Leg 3

Durrant misses a big number when going for 60 but he fails to put away tops and is punished by De Decker after he takes out an unorthodox 78 finish (18,D20,D10) for a break! Durrant 1-2 De Decker.

Leg 4

Durrant is in deep trouble now as De Decker picks out double 16 for a 14 darter and a two leg lead! Durrant 1-3 De Decker.

Leg 5

Durrant misses double top for a 145 checkout but he returns to nail it next time out and stay on De Decker’s tail. Durrant 2-3 De Decker.

Leg 6

Leg 3

Bunting nails the first maximum of the match to leave 41 but despite missing two darts at double 16 first time he then takes it out with the last dart in the next visit for the third consecutive break of throw. Tabern 1-2 Bunting.

MIKE DE DECKER WINS GROUP 2 OF THE LAST 32!!! Alan Tabern completes a stunning 6-2 victory over his St Helens rival, hitting double 12 for a 13 darter to finish the job!! That means that Mike De Decker wins the group on legs differnce and Stephen Bunting goes out despite winning his first two group games! Fine margins in this sport!
