Firstly Casey, thanks for joining us at Darts Mad.
DM: How much are you looking forward to playing in PDC Q School which gets underway tomorrow?
CG: I’m really excited to play in this years Q school, I feel like it will give me great experience and up my game.
DM: How has your preparation got underway heading into it?
CG: My preparation has been steady, I’ve been practicing since the world championships, I’ve come up to Robbie Green’s the night before to have a good practice before Q school gets underway.
DM: How confident are you of winning a PDC Tour Card and what would it mean to you if you did so?
CG: I do not fancy my chances highly of getting a tour card although I will play with belief and just see what happens on the day.
DM: With the disappointment of losing first round in the BDO World Championships, do you think you can put that behind you in any way?
CG: I have already put the world championships behind me, although my first round defeat was disappointing you just have to dust yourself off and move on.
DM: What did you make of Fallon Sherrock’s heroics at the PDC World Championship’s last month and how good was it for ladies darts?
CG: Fallon done amazing and I was so proud of her. I believe she’s really helped ladies darts, she’s shown women can beat the men!
DM: Do you think the PDC will introduce a ladies tour and if so would you play on it?
CG: I hope the PDC will do a ladies tour, I would most definitely play in it, along with many others!
DM: What do you make of the current situation of the BDO at the moment, how frustrating was it not knowing what you were playing for at the World’s?
CG: The BDO situation is frustrating and not knowing the prize structure was hard and disappointing
DM: Finally, do you think there is any way back for the BDO or do you think this is the end?
CG: I don’t know if the BDO will be able to find its way back, I really do hope so. The next couple of months will tell.
Many thanks for joining us Casey. All the best at Q School
